I walked, at the age of 70, almost 2,000 kms from the Pyrenees to Northern England. My book - "Vic's Big Walk" – is about the walk - and much else besides. "Living In The Real Cyprus" - quickly followed. Both books are now available in both e-book form and in paperback. The walk raised funds for Pancreatic Cancer research. Fish Fingers
I mentioned a few weeks ago the “Sausage Fingers” effect of distance walking, especially in hot weather. How quickly things change. Today, although the temperature was not near freezing, the temperature was quite low and my hands were wet for the entire walk. So the feeling was more of frozen sausages, or fish fingers. So, another item of kit to be carried, a light pair of gloves.
