I walked, at the age of 70, almost 2,000 kms from the Pyrenees to Northern England. My book - "Vic's Big Walk" – is about the walk - and much else besides. "Living In The Real Cyprus" - quickly followed. Both books are now available in both e-book form and in paperback. The walk raised funds for Pancreatic Cancer research. There Is Beauty All Around
I think we all go round with our eyes closed, or at least not seeing much which is there. I have passed this window in Mirepoix scores of times but never seen it before. It is opposite the door of one of my favourite boulangeries. As my friend Peter says, it is surprising what you see if you look up.
If you double-click on one of these pictures, it will enlarge and give you a gallery of the others, which will also enlarge if you select them.
The next few were taken on a recent visit to Alet-les-Bains, which is an ancient place which we bypass frequently and to which we do not give enough attention.
This is a nice view in Chalabre, 8 kms from our house.
And this is inside the covered market at Lavelanet, a few yards from the stage where I made my first guitar-playing appearance.

Watch This Space
Sorry to have been so quiet recently.
I have been working hard on my second book. Above is the cover. The print version will be finalised tomorrow and the e-book next week.
The paperback will be available direct from the publisher Lulu.com within a week and will be on Amazon in about six to eight weeks. The e-version should be available for Kindles in about two weeks and for other e-readers as and when the other e-publishers get their acts together.

Dead Giveaway
The book giveaway referred to in the last post is now over.
547 people entered the draw. Goodreads made the selection and I was this morning given the details of the two winners. One lives in Dalarna, Sweden, and the other in Morecambe, England.
The two books have already been prepared for the post and will be on their way tomorrow.
Sorry if you entered but didn't win. There will be a similar giveaway of my next book "Living In The Real Cyprus" when it is available in a couple of months time.
